How to Delete a Project in Quiltster

Maybe you were trying a pattern or testing a colorway but you no longer want to keep your project. Either way, it’s easy to remove projects you no longer need right from your Dashboard.

This tutorial walks you step-by-step through deleting a project in the Quilt Planner.

Quick Steps (short version)

  1. Go to Quilt Planner from the Main Menu

  2. Open My Projects

  3. Click the three-dot menu on the project card

  4. Select Delete

  5. Confirm by clicking Delete Project Now

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Quilt Planner

From the main Quiltster navigation, click Quilt Planner.

Navigate to My Projects on the main menu.

You can also just go straight to your Dashboard and then click on My Projects.

Step 2: Find Your Projects

Under My Projects you can view every project you’ve created.

Each project appears as a project card showing:

  • A preview image of your quilt
  • The project name
  • A three-dot options menu

Think of this page as your personal design library.

Step 3: Open the Project Options Menu

Find the project you want to remove.

On the project card, click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the corner.
A list of actions will appear.

Click Delete.

Step 4: Confirm the Deletion

Quiltster will ask you to confirm.  This is intentional so projects are not removed by accident.

Click Delete Project Now to permanently remove the project.

Your project will immediately disappear from your Dashboard.

Important Things to Know

Before deleting, there are a couple helpful things to keep in mind:

Deleted projects cannot be recovered.
Once removed, Quiltster cannot restore the project, fabrics, or color layout.

Gallery projects are removed too.
If your project was shared to the community Gallery, it will also be removed from the Gallery when you delete it.

To help you spot these, Gallery projects are marked with a small flag icon on the project card.

A Helpful Tip (Before You Delete!)

If you like your design but want to experiment, consider creating a Duplicate project instead of deleting.

Duplicating lets you:

  • Try new colorways
  • Test alternate fabrics
  • Save the original version of your design

Many quilters keep multiple versions while deciding.  It’s one of the best ways to design confidently.

You're All Set!

You’re all set! Your Dashboard should now feel a little cleaner and easier to navigate.
