Set up a Sale

Sales are a great way to draw attention to your listings! Please provide a two week minimum notification for all sale types.  This allows time to prepare proper promotional materials and announcements.  We want your sale to be successful so we will do our absolute best to get the word out but anything less than two weeks is no guarantee for all the promotional opportunities.

 

Quiltster provides sellers with three ways to offer Marketplace sales.

Sale Types

Coupon code sales - category-wide sale

Please fill out the Marketplace Sale Form which will be used to create a coupon code for your sale.  The coupon code will be provided to you to share with your audience. Coupon Codes are applied to all listings within a category e.g. Quilt Kits.

Coupon code discount types are as follows:

  • Percentage off
  • Percentage off plus free shipping
  • Fixed amount off
  • Fixed amount off plus free shipping
  • Free shipping

A minimum order requirement or max redemptions can be enforced, if required.

 

Targeted listing sales - listing-specific

Please fill out the Marketplace Sale Form if you would like Quiltster to help promote your sale.  In this instance, we will not be creating any coupons for you but we can help drive traffic to your sale as long as we have the correct details.

This option requires you to edit pricing for individual listings via the Seller CMS on your own. This is a reasonable option if you’re offering sales on specific listings within a category and need to exclude others in the same category.

 

Gift with purchase sales

Please fill out the Marketplace Sale Form if you would like Quiltster to help promote your sale.  In this instance, we will not be creating any coupons for you but we can help drive traffic to your sale as long as we have the correct details.  

This option requires you to manage adding the gift with purchase to the orders as you ship them out.  This is not tracked in our system.

Sale Announcements

Quiltster Marketing

We love promoting sales along with you!  Your sale will be included in any combination of newsletter announcements, social media posts, out of office notifications, email signature links and live video announcements when applicable.  

 

Sellers’ Responsibilities

Share your sales information on social media, a series of newsletters, and even on your website to reach as many people as possible. Make it easy for shoppers to find your listings by including a direct link to your Quiltster Shop in all advertisements. Coupon codes must be entered into the shopping cart before checking out so it’s nice to mention that in your advertisements as well.

What to include in your promotions

  • A direct link to your Quiltster Shop.
  • The start/end date.
  • The coupon code and how to redeem, if applicable. “Enter coupon code in shopping cart before checking out.”

When to Run a Sale

  • National Holidays
  • Fun Holidays i.e. national rescue dog day
  • Shop anniversaries
  • Owners birthdays
  • During known slow months
