- Review and fill out the Pattern Designer Agreement.
- Send a pattern PDF – Pattern Submission Form
- We’ll set up your complimentary subscription and digitize your pattern
- Review your digitized pattern for publishing
At this point you decide what’s next.
- Love it? We’ll publish your pattern and announce you as the new designer in residence!
- Not a fit? No problem at all! We won’t publish your pattern, cancel the complimentary subscription and part as friends. We’re here if you change your mind later on, which is totally fine!

If you decide to move forward, we’ll publish your pattern and announce you to our audience!
If not, we simply won’t publish the pattern, your complimentary subscription will be cancelled and we’ll part as friends! No hassle, no obligation.
What Happens After You Send Your Patterns
You send us PDF’s of your patterns, we take care of the technical side to transform your designs into an interactive experience inside Quiltster.
Here’s how this process works:
Pattern Digitization
We professionally redraft your design into an interactive, digital template.
Our team builds the layout, block groups, color groupings and yardage calculations so everything functions seamlessly inside the Quilt Planner.
Before it reaches you, we run a full internal test to make sure the technology works exactly as it should.
Pattern Review & Approval
Next, you’ll receive a private link to review your pattern in Quiltster.
This is your opportunity to look everything over and make sure it matches your pattern instructions perfectly. We’ll guide you through the process, but in general, you’ll be checking:
- Overall layout and appearance
- Line design and structure
- Block groups and color groupings
- Yardage calculations* (quilt top, backing, and binding)
*Quiltster rounds yardage up to the nearest ⅛ yard.
You’ll also create a quick test project to confirm everything looks and calculates as expected.
Once you’re happy with it, just send us your approval via email and we will move forward with publishing at that time.
Pattern Publishing
Once approved, we publish your pattern to Quiltster.
- Subscribers can fully customize your pattern in the Quilt Planner.
- All website visitors can view your pattern in our library, learn more about it and click through to your website to purchase.
We’ll introduce you to our audience as a new Quiltster designer and feature your patterns in our marketing efforts to help drive traffic to your pages.
Marketing Your Pattern
To help quilters discover (and use!) your patterns, we ask partners to do simple, ongoing promotion.
- 1 post per month
- Include a direct link to your pattern page in Quiltster
- Tag @quiltsterinc so we can follow along and include the hashtag #quiltsterpattern
We also encourage you to add the “Quiltster Compatible” badge to your pattern pages, linking back to Quiltster so your customers can easily explore and customize your designs.
This kind of visibility helps more quilters engage with your patterns and ultimately leads to more sales and stronger brand recognition.
