All we ask in return is a commitment to submit 3 patterns per year.

What Happens After You Send Your Patterns
You send us PDF’s of your patterns, we take care of the technical side to transform your designs into an interactive experience inside Quiltster.
Here’s how this process works:
1. We redraw your pattern
Our team professionally redrafts your designs in a Quiltster-ready format, preserving the integrity of your original work.
2. We Build the interactive structure
We map out color groups, block groupings, and fabric placement so quilters can easily experiment with different looks.
3. We calculate the details
We set up accurate yardage calculations based on your pattern, so quilters can confidently plan their materials.
4. You review everything
Before anything goes live, you’ll receive a private link to review and approve all details.
5. We publish your patterns to the public!
Once approved, your pattern becomes an interactive experience in the Quilt Planner, ready for quilters to explore, customize, and bring to life!

Your pattern isn’t published until you’re completely happy with it. Simple as that.
We’ll send you a private link to review your design inside the Quilt Planner, where you can see exactly how it looks, test fabric placement, and make sure everything feels right.

Q: What does it cost to become a Quiltster Pattern Designer?
There’s no cost to join as a Pattern Designer. In exchange, we ask for a commitment to submit 3–5 patterns per year for digitization into the Quilt Planner.
Q: What happens after I sign up?
Once you’re signed up, you’ll send us your first pattern PDFs for digitization.
While our team redrafts your pattern for the Quilt Planner, we’ll provide a coupon code so you can activate your complimentary Quiltster subscription and start exploring the platform.
When your pattern is ready, you’ll receive a private link to review and approve it before it goes live.
Q: What does “digitization” mean exactly?
We take your pattern and professionally recreate it in a digital format that works inside the Quilt Planner software. That includes building out the layout, defining color groups and blocks, and setting up accurate yardage calculations all according to your original design so quilters can interact with your design and plan their project with confidence.
Q: Do I get to review my pattern before it’s published?
Yes. You’ll be able to open your pattern in the Quilt Planner, test it out, and confirm that everything looks correct before giving final approval. Nothing is published without your sign-off.
Q: Do I need to provide anything besides my pattern?
We’ll start with your pattern file and any supporting materials you have (cover image, fabric requirements, etc.). From there, we’ll guide you if anything additional is needed.
Q: Can I sell my patterns on Quiltster?
Yes! As a Pattern Designer partner, we link directly to your website so customers can purchase your patterns from you.
If you’d prefer to sell directly through Quiltster, you also have the option to upgrade to a paid Seller subscription and list your patterns in the Quiltster Marketplace—but this is completely optional.
Q: How does Quiltster help promote my patterns?
Your patterns are featured in the Quilt Planner, where quilters can explore colorways, plan projects, and calculate yardage. We also highlight products through marketing channels like email, social media and online ads.
Q: Will my patterns still be available on my own website?
Absolutely. Quiltster is designed to expand your reach, not replace your existing sales channels. Many designers use Quiltster as an additional way to showcase their work and drive interest back to their own platforms.
Q: How long does the digitization process take?
Timing can vary depending on the complexity of the pattern and current queue, but we’ll communicate timelines clearly and keep you updated along the way.
Q: What if I’m not sure which patterns to submit?
We’re happy to help with that! We can recommend patterns that tend to perform well in the Quilt Planner and give your audience the most value.
Q: Should I promote my patterns on Quiltster?
Yes! We definitely recommend it!
